Chantal Garcia (she/her) uses photography to capture the cultural shift in skateboarding towards the often overlooked skaters who have historically been on the margins. Seeing herself in her subject matter, Garcia gives queer and female skaters a platform to be seen and shows onlookers how it feels to be on the session. Her photography is intended to welcome people into her pocket of the skate community and make them feel included in it.
